public service announcement?

if you didn't know, this girl owns my heart. If you see her walking down the street, please remind her that she is loved unimaginably by a simple boy who likes letting the world know how important she is in his life.

Thanks!

421

April 21st 2007, a boy walks into a party totally oblivious to the fact that it was that day that the cosmos would set in motion a series of events that would make his life inevitably and exponentially more amazing. Like any other party he’s been to, it was fun, he had a few beers and talked to a few people, but as the affairs of the night began to wind down the people left decided to congregate in a single table. On his right, about two seats away, sat a beautiful girl with the perfect face. Music played, and she began to sing. Boy takes notice and starts a conversation. It ends abruptly but the ripple lasts through months and months. He did not think much of it right after, he was involved and she was involved, but as time passed, the ripple turned into a wave. And thus began the greatest love story ever.

Looking back a year, through everything that has happened, who would have thought that boy and girl would be together. Against all the odds, it happened. They made it happen. As it rained on the street 365 days later, there was nowhere boy wanted to be with but with girl. As it drizzled, there had been no one else boy wanted to kiss more than girl. 365 years later he will still want no other woman. As it rains, so are they reminded of how inevitably perfect their meeting and subsequent love story is.

Boy will always love girl. As sure as it rains in this world.

i left my heart in someone's pocket

Being away is taking its toll on me. I've been in a strange luke warm mood lately, and i feel so out of touch. i miss saab like crazy. that's pretty obvious. and everything here just reminds me of her.

enough of the drama. today, we did something productive. we went to ladera hq and hung out with Roberts. It was nice to finally meet the man behind all those awesome Ladera boards. A really nice and chill guy, it just felt like we were way chillin. After that, Luis and I went to some parking garage in stanford and hit it up a few times. We met two interesting guys, Alex and Allen. Allen was a robotics engineer in stanford, and Alex was a surfer. These guys were skating the same garage we were and we sat down for a few minutes to talk about a bunch of stuff.

Its actually amazing. Alex knew Jeff Clark. His brother is Jeff Clarks friend and for you guys who don't know who Jeff Clark is, he's the guy who discovered one of the gnarliest surf spots in the world. He discovered mavericks which is a bigwave mecca. So many of the worlds greatest and most legendary surfers have surfed that break's 40 foot waves... it was amazing to think that we were talking to a guy who grew up with the whole mavericks crew chillin at his house.

tomorrow luis and i will be hitting up the city. hopefully we get out early and get some good time in. we'll be bringing our boards... and to the person who said i should post more pictures... i will in time... but please, wait for the awesome, awesome whiskey hill video to drop and then tell me my trip isn't good. :)

choots from the bay! good day everyone!

english romance

Random picture of Luis and I at 711 a few nights ago. Tripping on the security monitor.

whudup whudup, walked around haight st. today with Luis and Polly. ate at a thai noodle shop there and chilled for a bit. we also dropped tim off at the airport before hand. After lunch, we walked around and headed to Amoeba Records and i got a few cd's for me lady. It was getting late and luis had a class (yes we move very slow) so we just dropped by this one more store and i got awesome shoes. Kick ass skate high's! In any case, i'm going to take a powernap now. I'm still pretty jetlagged, a week after i've been gone. so yeah. hope yall doing well.

hello san francisco

first two days have been cool. skate heaven down here. we skated a huge bowl and started to get the hang of it. Stayed for about 3 hours just getting the transitions down. Then we almost get busted by the cops (cuz we broke into the park). Not because we were trying to be all punk rock, but cuz during the day, so many people skate it, its hard to get lines down. After that, we hit 7-11 for some boritos then chilled at home.

Prior to that, went to Golden Gate park to fuck around a bit. Tim, Luis, Xandra and I just walked around thinking there was Japanese food there, but there wasn't. So we headed over to Japan town for some Ramen action and some an emo photoshoot.

All throughout, i've been missing Saab like crazy! Like Crazy! and yeah, that's it from this end. Hope all of you are chillin!

you with your switch blade posey

I realized that i complain a lot on this blog. So tonight will be awesomeness night.

Saab is the most awesome girl ever. Ever. In history. Ever.

And its awesome that skating is getting big all over the world.

I wish we could all change the world we live in with a snap of a finger. There is so much going on around us that we fail to notice. So much suffering and pain. Even though, we always have to remember that its good to be alive. Another day we wake up is another chance we get to change the world. Stay optimistic everyone!

Today we sold another board- a Ripper. We skated Ateneo, and I hung out with Tristan, Migs and Adrian the wonderkid. It was raining so we had to skate the halls of the Ateneo High School. It was kinda rad since I came from there and never noticed the little pockets of speed. Adrian was ripping up the halls on the floyd, while Migs took two crazy spills that looked so cool. Wish i got it on video! Later on in the afternoon, we all skated the road in front of the highschool. I worked on me manuals, Adrian tore it up some more (wait for him in the next Whiskey Hill video) and Tristan fell in-love with the Ripper so he got one.

Rest of the afternoon was spent hanging out and talking. And that's pretty much my day. Hope all you guys are having a good weekend.

Shoots!

Ever notice how all the hip-hop on the radio/tv now talks about 4 things in different ways? Money, Sex, Drugs, and themselves. Its like hip-hop is the new rock and roll. Granted, there are some exceptions like Kanye sometimes or Jay-Z, i would say nowadays its more the exception rather than the rule. More poets like Mos and Nas in hip-hop please. Thanks!

long overdue

Its been quiet a while since you heard from me. I'm sorry about that. Things have gotten a little bit busy, and I've rarely found a lul long enough to collect my thoughts and write. So what's been up people?

I am still on the great job hunt. Still no call backs. They say it realy takes a while though so I'm not really worried. I need to find one soon though. I've been idle for long enough! And did I tell you, I've been sober for more than a month now? No alcohol at all! I think I get a pin for that or something right?

So next thursday I'll be leaving for the states. I'm moving there for good... wait, I'm just kiding. I'm going to watch my older brother graduate. and then coming back. Haha! I'm going to be there for three weeks, and yeah, it's going to be fun, but as with any trip, I'll miss a lot of the stuff here back home. Its just hard being away, and not knowing what you're going to come back to. But in any case, I am assured that all will be okay.

The new stock of boards just got in. I have like 30 skateboards in my living room right now, waiting to be sold. We haven't been doing any intense marketing so they haven't really been moving. We've all just been skating sparingly and pretty much just enjoying the last few sunny days of summer.

I hope you all are enjoying too! That's the skinny on the past few weeks everybody!

Shoots!
